Scar Sighted had the same effect on me this year.

damn, I was blown away by this album when I first heard it, then after multiple listens it grew off me slightly, and now I'm listening to it again after a few days of pause, and I think it grew back haha. the first song just gave me so many chills. gotta love this band man

They haven't really put out a bad album ever. Even the electronic ones were pretty good (although not excellent). This one is near the top, though.

1. Icon

2. Symbol Of Life

3. In Requiem

4. The Plague Within

5. Draconian Times

Those would probably be 6 and 7. There's something about In Requiem that I really like.

Haven't heard this yet, but in Requiem and Faith Divides Us are definitely my favorites since Draconian Times. Doom all the way

This, the S/T, Tragic Idol and Draconian Times. Any Recs, Evo?

Icon - that's my favourite, and considering you listened to Draconian Times, you should enjoy it

Faith Divides Us - Death Unites Us - accessible gothic doom done very well with some orchestral elements that are sometimes found on here too

In Requiem - very catchy while still dark (think of the s/t but heavier and a bit more varied)

Gothic - well, that's basically the first gothic metal album, and also the last one where he's growling before Plague Within (his voice is different, though)

Symbol of Life - from their electronic influenced era, this one has quite a bit of an industrial feel to many of the tracks, so you might dig it a lot

That's worth hearing as well.

Flug, wouldn't really consider that a growl. Just a bridge between the growls on Gothic and the Hetfield-esque shouts on Icon.

Yeah the vocals on Shades are definitely more like Icon than Gothic.

Yup, the versatile vocals are what I like a lot in their recent releases, since Nick uses all types of clean vocals he employed during their different eras and it's nice he added growls into the mix on this one.
