Easily one of their best albums in their career...

Agreed with VVV - Cruelty Brought Thee Orchids is by itself reason to buy this; and then of course The Twisted Nails of Faith, Desire in Violent Overture, Thirteen Autumns and A Widow, Lustmord and Wargasm, and of course - Bathory Aria

Easily worth any price between $10 - $20

Wargasm: one rediculous word that sums up all you need to know about this band

I held off buying this album for ages, but it quickly became my favourite. The style of music (before Cradle began to change) and the subject matter really made me love it. And the Iron Maiden cover on disc 2 is sweet.

I don't know what's better, the first 3 tracks on this album or the first 3 on Dusk. Not counting the instrumentals of course or Bathory Aria.

Guys, this is Cradle's best album. So close to fiving this right now. There's not a track on here that isn't great, even Portrait of a Dead Countess, which is possibly one of the best fillers i've ever heard.

Not better than Dusk or Vempire, but still amazing. Could very well be a 5.

Meh, this album has a better atmosphere than Dusk, which has WAY more gothic overtones. Not that dusk is bad in any way, this just barely edges it out as better for me.

And Vempire is an EP, which i don't normally put in the same category, no matter how epic it is.

Vempire is 40 minutes long though, it might as well be considered a full-length. Also, the gothic elements are what make Dusk my favorite Cradle album. The atmosphere on that album is amazing. I agree that the atmosphere here is amazing too and has Cradle's second best song, Bathory Aria.

I had a feeling you'd say that :-) I don't really know what mine would be, Probably either Cruelty Brought Thee Orchids or Queen of Winter. I hate having to pick favorites out of such good material though.

I agree dude. The first 5 albums are filled with great tracks. Actually all of their albums are filled with great tracks.

I haven't given Godspeed as much time as it should have, i should probably get on that.

Godspeed is underrated as fuck. People on this site give it shit just because it's the newest Cradle album, but it's really great.

I listened to it a bit, but was interested in other things at the time, so i just wrote it off. I think i'm going to grab it soon and relisten.
