I haven't listened to this in three years but I recall not liking it... I need to listen to it again. See if it grows.

More I listen, more I think this might even top Watching from a Distance. So tenderly, achingly beautiful the whole way through

Edit: fuck it, now's as good a time as any for the 5 bump

Not up their with WTTS or WFAD for me but still absolutely devastating.

Not many voices like Patricks.

None at all. You heard their live acoustic cover of The Lioness, Deez?

Album's mood kind of feels like if Bela Tarr made a Mike Leigh movie. Could sit for hours staring out a forlorn rainy window to Pictures

the way this album just evokes a thousand yard stare in you is unmatched. it's pensive in a way no other album has made me, it's helped me reflect on so many things.

Yeah man, amazing. I saw him support Emma Ruth Rundle a few years ago just him and a violinist and he did a couple of 40 watt sunn and aWarning tracks amongst his solo stuff. Shit was soul crushing,

I can't even begin to imagine. Shows with Emma involved always seem to wind up in magical places. Saw her play with Mono in a cemetery a year or two back, started the set about 10 minutes after a rainstorm, fog drenching everything.

Think Patrick Walker being involved is the only thing could've made it more perfect.

Not normally my thing but it's working. I was really not thinking like this was something I'd be into in the moment but was totally swept in. It ended and I'm kinda just sitting here in silence cause it feels like nothing can follow that...

Marazion is just showing off that Patrick *chooses* to take 12 minutes to break your heart.

He doesn't need to.

preeeeeetty much

there are some tracks on here that took a while to really click but now every single one is irreplaceable, for some reason i find 'another room' to be amongst the most depressing things i've ever heard, it just makes me feel so alone and hopeless
