"which show is that? I'm seeing them in early May but I think it's just a regular show"
In Brooklyn at Saint Vitus Bar. The second of two Brooklyn shows (and their only US shows for 2018) as part of the much larger Northside Festival. The first night's going to cover most if not all of their discography while the second night's all of Dust and Disquiet plus a 3 song encore.

Amazing album!
Run Dry didn't do much for me but it was alright for what it was.
Great review also

Thanks. And Run Dry is great as a single track but put in context with the record and given where it’s placed it’s wonderful.

Just got back from their two Brooklyn shows. Wow...IDK where to begin. I'm still trying to find the words to describe how incredible it was. The sets from the two nights covered a good chunk of all their studio albums (no EPs unfortunately); the main event being the full Dust and Disquiet album on the 2nd night. The setlist was probably just as varied if not more varied than Live at The Larcom (albeit they did play half of what's on Larcom on the first night). The first night consisted of their first 3 albums (including half of the Tertia album) plus Ríoseco which was the only song played both nights. The only non-studio album track they played was Castles High, Marble Bright on the 2nd night which immediately followed Dust and Disquiet to close the show.
I feel really sad (really I do) that fans all over the world couldn't get to experience the whole Dust and Disquiet album live. Philip said it would be the first and only time they'll play the full album live.

The Audiotree performances and Live at The Larcom give you a good picture as to how their live shows are like. Experiencing it in person however is just on a whole other level. I think of all the post-rock bands that I like, Caspian are probably the best live but that's probably because they ARE my favorite post-rock band.

Oh that's exciting! I've been doing a bit of a deep dive into their older stuff. Nothing compares to this but they have a really stellar discog. Would love to see them top this with their next album.

WS is equally awesome. The production on crescendos on that thing are massive.

I need to hear their other albums. This is one of my favorite post-rock records of the decade.

I'd start in reverse chronological order. In that case, it's Waking Season. It has what is probably my favorite song of theirs, Fire Made Flesh. In the studio it sounds great, but live? Holy fucking shit, it's epic. Them playing it as the first song during their support slot for Katatonia early last year was literally the first note I ever heard of the band, and I instantly became a fan right then and there.
