The production on this is actually kind of similar to older Polyphia (ie Inspire EP), only the drums on this sound a lot bigger, solo on Catalina Beach is prob one of my fave solos on this, amazing solo

Berried Alive is a frustrating artist, Collee Swollberry is the best song I've heard him on and that's basically a meme song... most of his songs overstay their welcome and focus too much on vocals, if he wants to do vocals hire another guy to do the vocals and have him write the lyrics as well, cause charles cant write lyrics. Berried Alive is a great muscian but his song writing skills leaves a lot to be desired, his songs need to be shorter, his songs need to be more exciting, his songs need less of the sad boy lyrics, his songs basically need to be more of Collee Swollberry

Agreed Tundra. Lots of great ideas, sounds, solos, playing, but the lyrics and overproduced vocals are megacringe. It's guilty pleasure music. I wonder if Charles is like me, where I can't earnestly create art -- expression has to be sarcastic or just a goof, so that it can't be critiqued as art. That's how jokey projects come across and I can sympathize with it. But jesus he's such a talented dude and I wish he'd make music like this, but serious.

this and the newest are his best imo (instrumental only ones, can't stand the vocals)

This band's album art covers look like they should be wrappers for ultra sour candies

New collab single is fun btw
