The one song I heard from this sounded like Fall Out Boy, but I liked it. *conflicted*

It is, they just didn't bother because "oh no it became pop". Don't get me wrong, there are other examples where bands change their style and become absolute garbage (You Me At Six) and I still prefer Deaf Havana's other stuff and hope this is a one time experiment. But for what it wants to be it worked out really great.

I fail to see how anyone can genuinely rate this a 1...

Is this the band that was compared to brand new?

Pretty decent album and it’s nice to see bands change up their sound from time to time. With that said I think the songs toward the end of the record start to sound a bit “same-y” – I think DH could have been a bit more ruthless with the track list to get it down to ten or eleven songs.

this doesn't really touch their other stuff, admittedly James' lyrics are still superb and I'm a big fan of the guys, but this album veers too close to top 40 pop to engage me.

ATCN holds a really special place in my heart for what it meant to me when it came out and i feel like this is an entirely different band, maybe its the vox but this just doesn't do it for me, its not bad tho.
