"New Model Army - Vengeance"
No, sorry you lost me there.
|
| |
well, then it's Thunder and Consolation for you, or y'know, ignore it, bub
|
| |
Album Rating: 2.5
I can ignore that, but then there are also albums like Junk Yard and liliput s/t on the list which also doesn't make sense.
|
| |
why do you think?
|
| |
Album Rating: 2.5
You have listed 49 post punk albums you think are better than Bright Lights yet there is no Public Image Ltd, The Pop Group and The Slits? smh
|
| |
(or did Fripp mean top 50 albums exactly like Turn on the Bright Lights and not just all corners of post-punk and its derivatives? cause in that case the list is indeed inaccurate)
|
| |
Evrimen, that's just out of top of my head

Oh well you must be a pretty vivid post punk dude then
|
| |
Album Rating: 2.5
Well I was refering to them not being better albums, I don't exactly know the genre requirements Fripp has for said list.
|
| |
Album Rating: 2.5
Well yeah it is a pretty diverse genre
|
| |
yeah, they're not necessarily better for me either, but they are within that range of goodness that many folks might think of them higher than Interpol.
and on the case of veariety of post-punk, it's: classic bass-tangly, clatter-drumming, lo-fi post-punk from way back when, goth, darkwave, coldwave, minimal wave, synthpop prototype (I call it synthwave, although I know there's another genre named that), no wave, minimal wave, noise punk, revivalism, jazz-punk, shoegaze mixtures, industrial post-punk, deathrock.

"As if it was ever a question"
Hmmph maybe, perhaps, for instance, you know, like, I dunno music could uhm, be.. well.. uhhh subjective?

Album Rating: 3.0
this is growin' on me
|
| |
I don't know about 49 but Turn On the Bright Lights definitely isn't the best post-punk album.

"Antics is better than TOTBL anyway"
Today was a rough day, I needed a joke or two to cheer me up.
Thanks man
|
| |
Album Rating: 4.0
This is slowly becoming my second favorite Interpol album. TOTBL will always be the best, but this is incredible, enjoyable through and through. The bass is way more prominent here than in El Pintor, and it flows way better.
It's a 4.7 for me.

i sincerely hope you knew six was joking
