i've only given this the one kinda cursory listen but thus far im not too hot on the first half but the album really seems to pick up at "WEIGHT" and doesn't let up from there. lots of neat production going on here though and it might grow on me over time.

Disagree. This is easily their least focused album in terms of song composition. Pretty much everything in the Sat trilogy had a very solid verse-chorus-verse structure, while everything on here is pretty scatterbrained and formless and does whatever it wants. Not saying it's bad tho, actually quite refreshing
In other words, this vs. the Sat trilogy is like Channel Orange/Nostalgia Ultra vs. Blonde/Endless imo
