Thanks for the kind words! Good catch Sowing, I fixed.

“lmao this album is so boring”
Didn’t you give Eat the Elephant like a 4.5? This album shits all over that one.

Remember a time when we could just listen to an album without getting caught up in hype or expectations or listen with resentment because of toxic fanbases or actually listen to something and let it take months or years to warm up to? Yeah those days sucked right.

Had to be you Ben, great write up. On second listen now and I already feel the venom taking over.
Edit> And fuck, I missed my chance to be on the first page.

Yeah I'm gonna agree with the guitars sounding like butt. Decade+ gestation periods never do albums any favours in the production department. I remember Chinese Democracy also suffering from weird production.
But that being said, after one listen I think Tool has actually managed to meet expectations which is kind of amazing.

"Even over a decade since releasing any music, Fear Inoculum sounds like it could have been written at any point during Tool’s classic period."
this is what makes all their albums so timeless. agreed hard.

I’m through Invincible now and same deal, music is pretty great but Maynard just sounds old. Long way from the Undertow days where he was the standout, now the band is carrying him.

Can they ever just release a normal closer? Disgustipated, Faaip De Oiad, Viginti Tres and Mockingbeat are all complete trolls. At least Third eye is a genuinely great track but still
