I'm also very sentimental towards 6 feet for some of the same reasons. Spent a lot of time with it, connected to it with my friends. Lizard State is practically an inside joke between me and the buds.
But I guess being so familiar with it it's easy to see the flaws, there are quite a few tracks with the same "indie dood with a clean jazzy electric" feel to them. I'm for sure a sucker for that style, and still feel remember 6 feet fondly, but when compared to the depth of instrumentation on The Ooz, I still def favor the latter. And it's not even that the Ooz doesn't have flaws, it just seems like there's more to the album as a whole, if you know what I mean.

I dont know if I would call those "flaws" rather than just "characteristics" but yes I feel that The Ooz is more substantial on a conceptual and sonic level. 6 Feet is a breeze, The Ooz is a challenge.

I love how this record opens up with Cellular. When this first came out last year, I played this song on repeat for weeks on end. After Cellular though, things just don't flow to me. I find myself having a hard time sitting through the whole album. Not that each song is bad, but it's almost too experimental at times where songs have no structure. If more songs could have maintained the experimental yet infectious beats of Cellular, this would achieve a much higher rating from me. Still one of my favorite young artists, and I feel like the best has yet to come for him.
