Thanks evok! I'm sure someone well-versed on the scene will tell you to start elsewhere, but -despite what everyone else is saying here- I find this guy's personality arresting. He seems like the kind of guy your parents would hate just looking at him, and I reckon he plays that up a fair bit.
Can't believe people hating on the voice though (or Zak hating on 1 pound tix haha).

Checked this after noticing he was featured on Denzel Curry’s latest and James Blake’s latest… back end is excellent, front half decent too

this record is such a grower. i was spoiled a bit by the singles, felt a little let down, but coming back to this, it's tough not to love it. doesn't have the "wtf" factor of Nothing Great but man it's probably the better record.
second half is better but the two compliment each other, a true example of the strength of a 12" in 2022, this record isn't the same if you don't go back to front, masterpiece
stone skimmers, day dreamers. NHS is flawless

New track is really interesting. Brings a bit of the hardcore punk vibe back as well.
This album was a lot more focused than the first but I’d love a bit of the unpredictability of the first album on the next one too.

ive been saying ever since doorman dropped he needs to go full into the post-punk aesthetic so fontaines feature sounds very promising

it's preeeetty far out there but he still raps on a few songs. closest thing I can think of is that last Injury Reserve joint

New album is EXACTLY where I wanted him to go, raw as fuck and mostly more punk-ish vibes instead of hip hop
Wonder if ‘Never Again’ is a true story…
