I've always had problems with very dissonant music, I hated Obscura by Gorguts, and what I've heard by Deathspell Omega was also awful, but maybe this band will change my mind concerning dissonant music

Close to a World Below is probably exactly where you don't want to start if you hate writhing and dissonant riffing.

Start at the beginning with Dawn of Possession, it's pretty straight forward but still sounds like immo.

i find it funny when people rec this band when someone asks for accessible death metal. they mixed up "accessible" with "essential." i had to get used to the weird riffing as well when i first got into death metal. youll get used to it and learn to love it.
