Riffs galore on this one.

I really like how this starts. Also the final 3 tracks are super awesome. I'll recheck Thirst, but the overall vibe was cooler, from what I remember.
There's one or other "fun bm" track here, which I'm not very fond of. But I agree this offers a more varied set of songs.

Idk, for me from "Aristocratic Suicidal Black Metal" the whole album slaps as it should. Maybe the first one is the only "warm-up" song, the rest is killer.

Something about this ain't clicking quite like the previous two but I can't say it's bad either.

It's a completely different vibe, I had to intentionally let go of my expectations from the previous releases and just take this for what it is and I found it more enjoyable after doing so.

Totally feel you InfernalDeity!
Previous record have a way more lushy decadent sad vibe (all good things) in the leads mainly. I felt the vocals a bit more filthy too on Diabolic Thirst. I was ecxpecting that too. But after let go of those expectations I've found a banger.

Yeah, I'd say that i still prefer the approach of the previous record but this is more fun

These guys are pretty good but I wonder if someday they might lean harder on the raw/melodic bm aspects. They can do whatever they want with the next record tho just my take.

I guess i meant rawer production like in the 90's
|
| |
The production on this is plenty raw. And c’mon 90s bm production has been done to death
|
| |
Yeah, that's been a thing for like 30 years.
|
| |
Especially in the, erm…. 90s!
|
| |
I mean yeah obviously bm has been around for a while you old cuck.
|

Would you say this sounds like Mutiilation?

No. And that's for the better.
|

Look. Lo-fi production in bm is something I enjoy. It doesn't necessarily have to sound like the 90's. Kekht Arakh is a project I really enjoy and while he usually has lofi production, it does have like a modern element. Would I say Spectral Wound is trying to emulate Mutiilation? Ofc not. I do enjoy this band for what it's worth. They are certainly well produced but guys...even krallice has made some dope ass lofi albums.

I don't think there is a conflict here.
