I guess that's true. There isn't much else to cling on to for me though. A shame

I personally think Polaris had some really substantial lyrical content, Seven Names, Tourniquet, Cages; Dan had a way of making me pay attention with that album

Agreed, Survival was nice too, the theme of being apart form your loved ones always works well imo

It felt sincere imo.

and I won't comfort you

no it won't be the same

there's nowhere left to hide

I feel like Dan just had appropriate lyrical and vocal choices when the time was right with the instruments back then

Yes, and I guess that plus the song oriented approach makes it my favorite Tesseract album

Checked the new one out

I really liked it.

KIND OF wish he'd still save the harsh vocals for special moments though. That was one of the more surprising parts of Sonder. His screams in Smile made that the heaviest moment on the album (an album containing King, mind you), and to me probably the most memorable. But again, if he's doing it this much then he's really found a comfort with them. Each album is very different, and this one looks like it's definitely going to keep that trend going.

I really like Legion.

Daniel finally tried something interesting with his voice. I doubt he will be able to sing this one as well live.

He is trying really hard, but his style doesn't work half as well for me as he puts effort into it

Predicting a 3 to 3.5 so far. If the rest is REALLY good maybe a 4

Wow Legion is one of my favorite tracks from them since...Polaris? Since Altered State? I feel like they're much more on track here than the last couple albums. We'll see tomorrow.

new album is solid. cool that they actually kinda sound like a heavy band sometimes again lol

i still kind of think theyre incapable of writing all that coherently tho lmao its their best since one but im not sure if this band is destined to break a 3.5

much like polaris, this gets its only good material out of the way in the first 10 minutes, but king is far and away my favorite song to come from the tesseract dark ages

King, Juno, Smile, Orbital, The Arrow

These are all really good. But then there is 1/3 of it's runtime that's just pure boredom
