Honestly I liked him better when he identified as Bloodwreath.

Not a fan of the drum sound again; the snare almost sounds gated, zero dynamics between the quieter and louder sections. The guitars sound really good and I particularly like the somber main arpeggio which glues the track together.

Hopefully things sound a little better on the vinyl, as they usually do with Ulcerate albums in general (looking at you Shrines)

yea it seems like it’s following in Stare’s more melodic approach but I was hoping for something a little more distinct production-wise

I was expecting something iterative and was not disappointed. I will be snagging the vinyl tho, as is tradition.

new song rules. seems like Paul's leaning on his higher-register scream a bit more, which is welcome to me. that scream of his is sick

i wouldn't necessarily say it's a higher register scream, more like a mid-range growl as opposed to his usual deeper gutturals
has more urgency though
