great review, this band is probably my all time favorite. I know that they're only using a formula that's been passed down to them by zeppelin and ozzy and the like, but the thing is they've done it in probably the best way i've heard.

i really don't understand the hate these guys get. i can accept that their new album is shit, because well....it is shit. but why the endless led zep/black sabbath parallels? people mention similarities that most of the time rent even there. You can find parallels to just about anything you listen to. I don't see Jack White getting bashed for the similarities from early blues groups. I've heard people say the song Woman was ripped from Whole Lotta Love. I've heard people say Woman was ripped from Roadhouse Blues by The Doors. How can the same riff be lifted from 2 different songs. The truth is all 3 songs were ripped from a traditional blues riff. bleh, some people... *rant*

I hope these guys realize they have potential for a great record some day. This album has some seriously great tracks on it, but it's bogged down by some weaker cuts.
