Vocals are pretty bad imo, the lyrics are even worse. The drummer makes this band pretty good from what otherwise would be painfully boring.

ahhhh, the ills of modern man...i got this by accident before I even knew of deathcore a while back...i was expecting another band (i didnt look at the cd carefully, and the store labeled it wrong) and a TOTALLY different genre and then the opening song comes on with blastbeasts and all that kind of stuff and I paused the CD and I was like...Despised Icon? >_> hmmmm...and after that I got into HEAAAAVVVYYYYY stuff...x) rock on!

that depends...you could be saying the genre "hardcore" like the punk-ish stuff with the yelling and all that...or maybe the metal aspect of "hardcore" like...i dont know...bands that people say are "hardcore" what do you say is "real" hardcore?
