Guthrie is fucking awesome, IMO. One of my favorites easily, and yes he rules on Steven Wilson's new album.
About him being a bit of a snob, I could see it, but he seems pretty nice. He just really stress' theory and will play something that seems very musical, and will go, "okay there's some vaguely musical there". Idk, he's just too serious about theory IMO. That being said his music still breathes and flows and seems human, so for that he's a genius.
