Haven't heard their later albums yet but so far this seems about on par with their early EPs, though I do think the s/t EP is a bit better than this.

S/T's got some flat moments, but i think some of it is great. Rachel sounds as good as ever too. I'd take S/T over a lot of nu-gaze albums
i prefer their early ep's a lot more than this. avalyn & she calls is classic, and shine is one my favorite songs ever

I'd take a lot of nu-gaze and dream pop over S/T. It sounds like Slowdive covering Beach House at times, I'd rather much be listening to Beach House tbqh

Slow Roving had me interesting if just a little, I liked the clattery hi-hats, good rhythm section and what not... But yeah, Sugar For The Pill killed all the hype. Fuck that song.

don't get me wrong there is plenty of nu-gaze & dream pop that is far superior, but i think s/t is better than most stuff by acts like nothing, turnover and whirr

I've only listened to Whirr's two studio albums, it's entirely forgettable. Maybe there's a couple nice tracks in their EPs, haven't checked and I'm not rlly planning to.
