Baxter? ...???
I suppose the police are out manning all the booze buses to care about fireworks.
The dog is a kelpie cross. But when it hears any kind of explosion, it turns into a mix of a rottweiler & Irish Wolfhound!

You're so wise. You're like a miniature Buddha, covered in hair.
great review davey. these guys aren't bad for shits and gigs, although i don't own an album by them.
glad to see everyone had a nice new year, sans losing dog. i just came back from camping myself. our fireworks didn't quite match the harbour bridge display, but amongst friends, on a beach, around an illegal fire - the jim beams went down just a little bit smoother than usual.
sure we didn't quite know when the countdown began, but who gives a shit?

Oh my, how could I forget the life-saving dog from Anchorman. Hell, I'd totally forgotten that Jack Black was even in that movie.
LOL Jim. Why do I get the feeling that you may have had multiple countdowns!?!?!? The more you have, the more chance that one of them is correct.
Hey, you weren't one of the guys that went missing trying to sneak into the Falls Festival, were you?
|
| |
no but that particular news article has provided me with mild enjoyment. silly duffers!
and yeah we had one countdown with much fanfare, which was followed by another by another group down the beach who obviously had a radio and actually knew for realz.
boy was my face red, although that could be attributed to the severe sunburn i attained climbing mt oberon the same day

Hmmm, I dunno... The timing is very coincidental. You haven't been on here for a few days & then you return a few hours after it is announced that they find those 2 guys! LOL. What some people will do to see Franz Ferdinand live! ;-)
The Jim Beams may have something to do with the red face also!

2 albsolutely hilarious posts. Jim, that middle line of yours could be a lyric of a song. Although, I would hope it would be used in a much different situation! Haha.
And yes, how dare they encore with 'Michael' when they could have really annoyed people with some unknown song off their new album!
In fact, let's put Jim & DavID's 2nd lines together to form a song: "we could hear them in the distance, as we lay in the shrubbery, holding each other... You shall forever be a friend of the bears."
It could do with some work, but I think we have a hit here guys.
