I'm pretty surprised that you find this to be average in comparison to No Heroes which, in my opinion is easily converges shittiest album.

I dislike the fact that it seems some 'staff' members write reviews just to disagree.

This review does not support its claim well enough. This music is a lot more than vocals, and that is basically the only strong evidence that you give for this album not being "cohesive."

But at least, the intro paragraph wasn't about bashing somebody's skull.

This album isn't anywhere near Jane Doe, but I think its slightly above-average.

Different reviews appeal to different audiences. A review like this is essential, I just found No Heroes to be a bad record, and for some reason this one clicked with me.

"the bassist is a million times better than Bannon at singing."

in actually singing, yes; in screaming, no.

The ending screams in Jane Doe (song) are unreal.

I think Bannon's best performance was on "The Saddest Day".

It took me a while. This genre is really not my cup of tea, but this stands out for, as does Jane Doe.

'kayo dot has been for me. still havent gotten into them.'

Yeah, same here. I listened to Choir of the Eyes and I didn't get it. Pitcher of Summer was fantastic but the rest did nothing for me.

Some of it, yes. However, that's another album I couldn't fully grasp- Bath. Some of the tracks are fantastic such as Geography but, others weren't all that great.

Thats what doesnt makes sense. I mean, this is what Converge have been striving towards and in the process, have finally won me over as a fan.
