don't love the vox but they're so buried in the mix that they really don't make a big difference

Yea this band really rules. All of their ambient stuff is gold as well

yeah even dead ringers was good but jenks has never come close to topping this
|
| |
Have you heard the stuff from the compilation album? It has all of the early EPs and splits compiled into 3 discs an it's all awesome
|
| |
And here I am with Stolen Fire being my favourite Horseback
|
| |
Dude I doubt most people here have even heard that one. Tbh I didn't know how much more material they had until I picked up their Plague of Knowing compilation, it's all really great stuff.
|
| |
And if I remember right Murdered is one of the creepiest things they've ever put out

the early stuff is excellent ambient but still doesn't touch this
|
| |
Impale Golden Horn shits all over this
|
| |
Blood Fountain is his best track.
I think if I ranked Horseback it'd be:
Stolen Fire
Impale Golden Horn = Piedmont Apocrypha
The Invisible Mountain
the rest because I never revisit any others
|
| |
I dig Half-Blood but unfortunately that's the one where he started singing. Everything from Invisible Moubtain back is nearly perfect though. Impale Golden Horn is pure bliss

last song is fucking hypnotizing. definitely my favorite and I can see why he got more into ambient after this release.
|
| |
Actually he was more ambient before this release, way more so than anything after
