I've been procrastinating but I'll listen to Take Care sooner or later

i think the biggest surprise with Take Care isn't so much how good it is, it's how not-overly long it feels.

Yeah but the first thing I thought when I listened to this wasn't, "Huh...this sounds just like De la Soul!"

and yeah, Drake's new album is pretty amazing. I kind of think on the whole some of the rapping on Thank Me Later is better, but Take Care feels kind of like the MBDTF of R&B/hip-hop, except with more atmosphere and subtlety rather than being super grandiose.
and it's cool Drake's taking Kendrick and ASAP Rocky on tour with him.

one of my good friend's 3 favorite bands are thrd eye blind, u2 and the red hot chili peopers, so if i were him, i'd pretty much do that. unless you actually dislike the content of a suggested artist, i have no idea why you'd be yelling right now

Fans of this should check out Setbacks by ScHoolboy Q. Another good hip-hop album from this year.

Yeah, but the fact that he likes those three are a coincidence. They sound nothing alike. Usually the "recommended" section is for similar artists, and most users here will tell you that is the very function of the section. The creators didn't just make it so you could go, "Oh, here are some random artists in the same genre that I think are cool but they don't really sound much like this.", that's what lists are for.

and yeah, ScHoolboy Q goes pretty hard. I wouldn't be surprised if he became one of the next big things.
