Yeah, I feel this - I guess if you really, really, really thought this sound was the only worthwhile thing they did, A Fine Day to Exit might make sense too

I'm thinking of Natural Disaster, although closer on it is straight up annoying

I won't lie, I was on a festival where they were a headliner. After hearing Natural Disaster nad Flying I went outside to wait for my brother and dad who enjoyed rest, I just took out my phone and played Thank You Scientist lol

tbh Anathema is a band that doesn't fit in big open air festivals.
It's a band that needs intimacy and probably requries that you know the songs and feelings beforehand.

On average they're just too indie for me. That's why I like this album a lot tho, lots of progrock and Judgement as a song is straight up awesome

Could never get into this one. Don't know what it is, I've always felt like I should love this, but whenever I put it on I can only listen to the first two tracks before I get bored.
Seeing them do One Last Goodbye live once was something tho

indie is not a good word for this band, they're too earnest
"tbh Anathema is a band that doesn't fit in big open air festivals."
generally agreed with this, but if they played Untouchable 1 on a big stage people would go nuts

It'll get you that way ;]
Having been listening to it since I was ~15ish, imma second that statement purely for the absolute freakout of a woodblock fill in Pitiless (1:28) that I have never once noticed before

Never even heard of the band until sput. I probably would’ve thought they were too 80s Eurovision back in the day.

Yes. Danny's guitar tone is something else on this man.
