^ pretty much, or at least more creative/humorous lyrics like on Enema or more believable emotion like on the S/T

yeah S/T felt passionate
fuck, Dude Ranch felt passionate at times
their last two releases feel devoid of anything
I think they're still dealing with the awkwardness of not wanting to piss each other off

Don't know why I waited so long to listen to this, but it's good. Mark just seems to be killing it every time he writes a song. Title track rocks.

finally jamming i guess

ew boxing day is shit

If Mark had more vocal time it would be better.

the magic of tom delonge!

I actually really enjoy Pretty Little Girl and a couple of the other tracks on this
|
| |
Really hoping cutting Tom from the equation allows them to play some balls to the wall fast shit or some fun shit without sounding mopey.
|

I just saw they have a new single premiering in 8 days. What a weird time for me to just happen to listen to this again.

Don't really know what to make of Blink without Tom.

i think its gonna be great.
but thats probably because i think skiba's a better songwriter than tom. and thats probably because i prefer alkaline trio to blink.

It'll be good haha. Tom had his place and time, but it was clear after self-titled that his energy was focused on his other projects. Hence why Neighborhoods sounded so much like AAW. Good for him, but that seems to be the problem with a lot of bands. Members do a side project and then that bleeds into the sound of the original band.

and tom kinda sucks post self titled with every project he participates in.

Haha growing up ruins some people. I hate to say it, but when an artist becomes happy sometimes the art suffers.

all the hate this record and neighborhoods receive makes me wanna cry sometimes. I love both. Everyone says blink's old stuff is so easy and just about girls and partying blah blah blah and now they write some more progressive stuff with deeper lyrics and tighter melodies and people say it sucks. I feel like I'm on another planet sometimes.
Tom's lyrics and vocal melodies are so good and groovy. Long live Tom.....oh and California sucks

i agree that both neighborhoods and this are pretty good but they're not that good maaaan. and y'know ppl have different tastes.
