Awesome review and v unexpected! Hard pos.

Not heard yet but I'm sure I'll dig this hard, seeing as SotS is my fave Ulver.

I wouldn't say it was much like Shadows at all though. Closest I can think is Svidd Neger really, but it's Ulver. No albums really sounds *that* similar to each other

It was the atmosphere of Shadows that hit me hard, sounds like this has atmos too with a different tinge to it.

Thanks Pleb.

Agreed. As I say in the review, the similarities between this and Shadows of the Sun only really extend to the fact that they both excell in creating a unique atmosphere that the listener is able to immerse themselves in. Each Ulver album has its own unique sound.

Don't forget to check out Wars of the Roses either, Pleb. Really underrated album imo.

Got this bad boy on colored silver/black vinyl with the cd, poster, tshirt, signed card by the band, and a 30 page art book. Owns so much. Love this album.

Wow, I bet that was expensive. I just have the standard CD.

The worst part was shipping from Belgium to the United States. But it was worth it.

Can you link me to where you ordered it from? I'm curious to see what the set looks like.

Thanks ford.

Yeah you really should. I personally prefer their experimental/electronic-based albums more than their earlier stuff.

Neuropa is a great label with excellent customer service. I'm glad Ulver partnered with them.
