Damn, this is a great companion piece to Cope. Think I prefer it slightly — Cope is a 3.5, This is probably a 4.



Cope would have been such a great record had some of the songs been as is hard rock, and some songs were done in the form of Hope. Some of these songs sound more natural on Hope than Cope. Top Notch is amazing both ways. Choose You is def better on Cope.

Does anyone know what compelled them to make this record? It’s definitely an unusual undertaking. Was it mostly in response to the muted reaction to Cope?

this is cute but feels retroactively redundant bc it's just Black Mile but way more boring
