I'm judging the band, by five album covers.

He does have a point. They're all terrible album covers.

First album that actually sounds like a collaboration instead of being solely spearheaded by Tom. This album is definitely a pleasant surpirse

I like this album cover but I do agree that the other ones are pretty terrible.

"This is either the most unintentionally amusing thing I've read all month or you have a rare wry wit indeed
sir. "
It was on purpose. Juxtaposing the idea of creating something "fresh" and "new" while deciding to don
leather jackets and the like seems to be counter intuitive. Redefining Rock & Roll by handpicking pages out
of the "How to be a Rock Star" handbook is hardly redefining, even if you slap a few space stickers on it.
I liked the first album cover, everything else has been terrible.

I hope there's a physical release of this.
The I-Empire cover is laughably bad.

Pos. I'm liking this album more and more with every listen. Still slightly unsure what my final rating for the record will be

Why do you even give a damn about the cover? Just listen to the music.. Isn't that what it's meant for?

I think that album covers can contribute to how I end up perceiving an album, silly as that sounds. But it's
not a huge deal, especially if I'm judging the entire band.

Yes it is a little. I have actually never had that vibe from just the album cover. Unless it's like some death metal shit like Cannibal Corpse or something

Sure would. Anyone's favorite team is their own choice. I couldn't care less, honestly. I just can't stand Dallas

Honestly, I'm torn between a 4 and a 4.5 on this! It's great. I'm glad they kind of steered away from the whole space thing. I mean, it was cool for a while, but it was almost to the point where it was about to get old

I hated their old stuff. They're talented, but I just didn't like it. And I love concept albums, especially spacey ones. It was just...lacking and a bit generic. Maybe I should give them a second chance.
This, however, is great. Maybe more in concept than style, I'm getting a S/T album 30STM vibe. Poppy light catchy rock with plenty of synths and sci-fi concept.
It's short and sweet too, not a lot of fat or pretension. In and out. Catchy. Next song.
"Teenagers and Rituals" has the catchiest chorus I've ever heard from these guys. Amazing song.

More of a 4.2-4.3 than a 4.5 but I dont habe those powers sadly. Nice changes these guys have made. Also this is easily my
favorite album art of 2014.
But yes, past album arts have been pretty blah and seem very much like pretentious space rock, as the music did reflect.
