on first impression I thought this was at least as good as section 80 but then I relistened to section 80 for the first time in at least a year and a half and I forgot how amazing some of it is

tpab is sterile
the production sounds very samey throughout (that slick soul sound he has going on becomes a little homogeneous). i mean sure there's 'u' and a few other superb cuts. mortal man also comes to mind. but nothing comes remotely close to sing about me, or the art of peer pressure. it doesn't help that butterfly is overstuffed and every track is 2 minutes too long

I didn't need this, but I can't complain. And TPaB felt a bit messy and flawed, but I think it reveled in that kind of awkwardness. It's hard to explain. GKMC is more controlled and fine-tuned, but I return to TPaB a lot more.

Really enjoying this. Totally agree with people laughing at the fact that some b sides from Kendrick are better than an album Kanye claimed would be the greatest album ever.

This is pretty great, not better than TPAB obvs but some of the individual tracks are about as good as some of the highlights on that album.

@Gyro: If you really thought TPAB was great as your rating would suggest then there's no reason why this wouldn't at least be worth a listen.
