Yea Yugioh got out of hand, the effect cards now have like a fucking essay on them about how the effects work lmao
I was honestly all for the Synchro summons, but with this pendulum shit I don't even know what's going on anymore
|
| |
I had a few cards that got a little too wordy, but pendulum cards take it to the next level... when the text starts taking up half the card you should know you've took things too far
they should just have yugioh classic league/play or something

I just started playing again and honestly Links kinda helped put the speed of the game in check...kinda. But that wouldn't have been necessary if Pendulums didn't ruin everything

On a more related note, they are working on album for according to Trenton's Instagram story. idk. this is one of the most disappointing albums I've heard in the past few years and I really hope the next one isn't anything like it

I just wish they'd make more music like their debut, because it's so damn good

These guys have gone from being one of the most interesting and consistent bands in the scene to being discount of mice and men

Their debut was outstanding. the mix wasn't perfect but besides that one with Matty Mullins every song was amazing. The Sower is still one of the best things I've ever heard. Unimagine was still great. They toned it down a bit but it was still them and I really liked it. Idk what possessed them to want to try and be heavier because this album really did nothing interesting.

"nigga what"
Both bands do the pseudo-heavy riffing with screams and cleans alternated with breakdowns interspersed. Hands like houses is simply doing a more radio-friendly version of the shit that of mice and men are currently peddling.

Have you even listened to this album? It is all sung vocals and they pretty much dropped the metalcore sound after Ground Dweller.

yeah iirc they are literally no screams on this

Uh yeah I heard this. Hell I reviewed it. There are screams on this, just no metalcore screams. You know just fuckin drop it. Dumb comparison anyway, was trying to indicate how far down the whole they're going

Of Mice & Men wished they could write a melody half as good as these guys

The Flood is flooded with good melodies

Nah fam I always thought the melodies (not the clean vocals, they're great) were the weakest parts of The Flood. The choruses aren't memorable to me because of a catchy melody but only because Shayley's voice is well... Shayley's voice.
The outro of Second and Sebring though, now that's a good melody.

sometimes i come back to some of these songs to see if they still suck. they always suck.
the choruses are so fucking weak. Trenton sounds dead.
