'Album is good still don’t know where Id put it in their discog yet tho'
for me it goes something like 1 TDBH&H 2 TWFU 3 YNYA 4 Prophets and then last TCWCU
TDBH&H being number one mainly because they really really nailed that bleak, hopeless (mostly) and wrath filled sound they were going for. such a good'n

Great review man, I love this album. Still trying to figure out where I'd place it in terms of their discography though.

Had to 5 this. Absolutely no filler to be found. This album will keep you engaged for every second.

I still think that TDBH&H is their best, but this takes an easy second place

Yeah TBSJRJEJFMT is still their best agreed. This comes close but Im also pretty sentimental about Prophets so only time will tell. Tbh I really really love the album art on this one tho, and in some sense it kinda adds extra kick to the music too

The art fits the sound perfectly, I agree. Love their aesthetics almost as much as their music
TDBHAH has to be tied with this, I can't decide which is better.

"three run stretch of Bouquet, Arms Like Teeth, and No Servant of Mine is awesome though"
"Whole album is a stretch of awesomeness but yeah those 3 songs really let you know you're listening to an AOTY contender"
I agree 100 percent. These three songs got me hooked to the album instantly and its momentum carries throughout the album.

"TDBHAH has to be tied with this, I can't decide which is better."
It's a tie. I would say the best songs on Hell and Home are better than the best songs here, but overall this is better. In the end it's pretty much even.

Yeah man I don't think any of their songs will ever top Debris and Soil.

Goodbye, Megaton and Only Anchors are my favorite songs of theirs, with Soil right behind them
|
| |
this is their best album tbh, and i love all of their other stuff
tdbhah is a really close second place boys
|
| |
yeah this smacks

This felt like it brought back a lot of that frenetic melody that Prophets enamored me with, but TDBHAH is probably still best Counterparts to me.
That being said, this is an absolute banger of a release. Some of their most melodic, some of their heaviest.
Also, obv tiny detail but I figured you might care: "You Haunt Me" is just "Haunt Me," or at least that's what the spotify listing says.

I'm probably in the minority here but at times I prefer TWFU over TDBHAH. These last three records have made Counterparts one of the best metalcore bands due to their consistency. Hell to me these albums even rival some old greats such as Of Malice, The Opposite of December and That Within Blood Ill-Tempered.

Love that this album ends so strong. I get so tired of albums that putter out toward the end, but damn, the four-punch combo of Rope, to Memory Misread, to Fragile Limbs, to the finale of YNYA is absolutely incredible.

I like the first half better than the second but yeah

First half is definitely better, but the title track is da best.

Fragile Limbs is easily one of the best, definitely top 3 for the album imo
