3.9? That's pretty lame. This was an album that really didn't sit well with me when I first heard it and I believe it took quite a while for me to come around but now I regard it Silverchair's best album. Everything is pretty much great on this. The production is spectacular (one of the best produced rock albums I've probably heard), the instrumentals are really nice and impressive, and the singing is great.

Daniel's singing really stands out on this. He came into his own on this album and completely abandoned his Cobain-isms. He's actually a very good to great singer. The orchestrations really add a lot to this album and I really like how this sounds very positive for a rock album.

didn't know this band had this album in them, i'm really surprised in a good way. it's a shame they went in another direction and disappeared.

I just love how this review failed to mention lead single Greatest View which I happened to think was a pretty awesome track!

Prefer the loud early grunge style of these guys, but this album is pretty cool

This came out when I was like 7 and never fully appreciated it. Returned to it now after listening to the Daniel Johns pod and fuck me it's brilliant. I've had it on repeat for the past 3 days.
