I think I've fallen in love with Hollowmaker. That might be my favourite at this point.

Every song has one thing about it that's totally unique and serves as a draw-in. I could make a case for any of them to be a favorite (although I do feel the second half of the album outweighs the first half ever so slightly).

Mad Julia Holter vibes on this.

I'm glad I'm not the only one hearing that. The string melody on Bloodletting reminds me of the early part of I Shall Love 2. But straight across the board the experimental appetite is pretty similar.

Alright, her voice on Hunker Down is crazy good.

Oh, nice to see it grew a little. Yeah Hunker Down started as a meh track for me and grew into one of my faves. The way she sings the album's titular refrain on that track is so smooth and glassy, I love it.

Very torn on this at the moment. Sometimes the more experimental edge landed well for me, such as on Digital Light Field and Genuine, but other times it felt messy and lacking direction. Will give this another spin though, it's definitely an intriguing record, and it could yet come to really click as a whole.

Call me basic, but I think I like this record best when its eccentric touches are kept to a light sprinkling on an otherwise more conventional song.

nice choices chambered
I like every song here (hence my score), but I'd have to go with bloodletting and this time tomorrow as my faves

"I think I like this record best when its eccentric touches are kept to a light sprinkling on an otherwise more conventional song"
See I'm the opposite; what draws me to this is its complexity and willingness to get downright weird. With that said, even the more straightforward songs like 'Sun and the Swarm' are highly enjoyable.

Sowing: super late reply but for me tracks 6,7, 8 and 10 really stand out on subsequent plays. The latter half is much stronger than the former imo

I agree with that notion. First half isn't weak by my own perception, but the second half is definitely where most of the highlights reside.

You should give it a try. Seems to be divided between people who love it and just think it's okay.

I will eventually. I have been pretty slow with checking new stuff lately though
