Whoever told em to go for the Parkway Drive dad rock vibe on this one really fucked up

I watched a few of the docs they put out and it seems like the producer had a big influence on the sound.

Prophet and Face of Hate are great. The vast majority of this is mediocre at best though. I find this band much more miss than hit.

I honestly think FfaK is just 'selling out' and they are completely fine with it. Their choice, I just like material like 'Deathgrip' a lot more

Not interesting at all imo. However, the mix is very nice.

Anyone heard the cover of Stockholm with Garrett from Silent Planet? Sounds a million times better. Guy is a beast

Par for the course in Melodic Metalcore tbqh. The genre is steeped in mainstream appeal so 90% of the artists end up going mainstream because growl vocals are a pain in the ass and you get more radio play by ditching em completely.

Idk about a million times better, but it did sound great. I wish they'd do a full band swap for these instead of just the vocalist, or at least take some more liberties with it. I thought both the covers were better than when FFAK did it with We Came As Romans.

Yes, same. The lows on that are gnarly in any case.

This was drifting listlessly towards a 2.5 on the first spin, but God of Fire, Stockholm & Vendetta perked things up a bit towards the end.

Holy crap he does. He sounds great on when everything too. Especially with the soft cleans, those are him, right?

And not that I want them to go the pitched scream route, but those sounded pretty great too.
