Great instrumentals and production. Vocals to me are meh. A 'good' listen.

Upon first listening, it sounded like a pretty standard affair, and was gonna 3, but after looking him up and seeing
his Youtube channel and all that nonsense, I like the guy. I have to admit, the whole djent thing annoys the shit
out of me for the most part, but it's always cool seeing normal dudes with a passion getting out there and doing
what they love. He's just so endearing, between the WoW neckbeard, and his awkward stage presence, you just
want to talk shit, but you hear him play (and much better over the course of an album, than many of his
contemporaries can muster on a whole song), and see how much he obviously loves what he is doing, it's
awesome. Free of the pretentiousness that permeates so many popular bands, you just don't get to see that
anymore.

A very straightforward and light little dance house and RnB project that blurs the line between EDM banger and IDM hypnotism. The synths and drums are groovy and bouncy, while the vocals are angelic and fun. A playful little EP that any fan of breakbeat and drum and bass will find fun.

| |
Not straightforward, not edm
|

The fact that you can’t decide if it’s “~dance house~” “rnb” “drum and bass” “breaks” “edm” or “idm” is indicative enough

The major problem with albums like this is not that it is bad, it?s actually really good, but it?s way too long, and the flow by Nephew has nothing that good to it and can really boring after a while. After about the fifth or sixth song the same flow gets really deteriorating and really makes this album a chore to listen to. The saving grace is the beats are actually really solid across the board. So, it?s a decent listen, but you have to kind of come back and forth with it, not a good listening experience.
still my favorite work of his
