Seeing Counterparts last night was cool but watching every band sing karaoke afterwards was arguably cooler.

I hope I can make something like this one day. Damn. Although I feel genuinely concerned for Brenden tbh, as a musician who suffers from depression on top of multiple different anxiety disorders, those lyrics are dark even for me. This album is amazing but I know all too well the whole “an artist must suffer for his art” thing and I think it’s actually true to an extent, but some of these songs take that to an extreme that make me uncomfortable, maybe because they hit pretty close to home, but damn I don’t think even I am THAT depressed. I hope he’s alright.

ye man Brendan always hits so hard with his lyrics. he seems like a pretty outgoing guy in interviews and his twitter account is pretty wild lol so I'm hoping he gets everything out with this lyrics. This album came out right in the middle of me and my wife separating so it really helped me a lot. Fucking amazing album.

Ngl this has dropped in emotional value a small amount for me but sweet fucking lord did my friend getting her tumor removed (cervical cancer) remind me of half of why this album hit so grossly hard when it did

It was directly after my two closest friends lost parents to cancer so pairing this with one of my then love-interests now mega-close friends having cancer atop of other disorders had me mortified of people around me prematurely dying.

On that note I'm super glad Brendan is finally coping with Kuma's death in a much more healthy manner. It's beautiful to see recovery.

Dude same. My dog passed a while before the song was released but I miss her and will keep finding songs for the sad playlist.
