This ain't so bad, Mering's got a firm enough grasp on her sound that nothing here flies off the rails but it's a little short on WOW and definitely loses points for some of the more blatant retreads (children of the empire recycling the same already-recycled-from-Arcade-Fire-ass groove she used on "everyday", lol)

everything here is just so deliberately beautiful and immaculate, but the vocal melodies (on first listen) just feel so loose and almost improvised in comparison
