Spit was hella cool

I can understand that some people dont like the lyrics on Hell 99 or whatever but saying that song isnt a banger is just wrong even tho i think the single version could do without the slow ending

can see the hell 99/turtleneck parallel insofar as both come from bands buffing up to lay down palettes that really do not sit naturally with them. turtleneck at least was inoffensive

You are somewhat right there with palettes not sitting naturally with them or whatever but thats what was cool about dropping Hell 99 as a single because it was not what people was expecting at all. Kind of like when 1975 dropped "People" even tho im not comparing these bands with each other at all lol. It is just kinda cool when bands do the opposite of what you expect

hahaha yes tbh, People is a good comparison. had forgotten that, maybe the most misleading insight they could have given for that album

Yeah i remember when that single dropped thinking "what the actual fuq"

Just like that album this albums singles havent really given us any idea of what direction this album will take. I liked Greyhound but i must admit i listened to the two other songs much more than that even tho Spit wasnt a single but was "leaked" lol

Hell99 still scared me off for the moment. I'll definitely try another song soon. Haha it was just a cacophony of unfun to me.

What's a angry song but not just disturbing. I feel so stupid asking this because I really appreciate albums and not just da singles.

this comes out mostly turgid and predictable for me but there's a charming sincerity about it too
