After track 6, this album goes downhill fast. The true highpoint of this album is the production. A surprisingly enjoyable album. I agree with you that the lyrics are terrible but once you can get past them this is a pretty solid album, in R&B terms.

I listened to this album intensely for a few months last year, and it is an excellent album. The last third is a big letdown though: stick with the songs about sexy, Justin. No cautionary tales about crack.

Was that a pun Splat Out Path? If so, excellence. But I have to disagree; Losing My Way is not better than SexyBack....

This album wasn't what it was all cracked up to be, other than the spiraling, hypnotizing single "My Love" and the sexy, sleek club sounds of "FutureSex/Love Sound." Timbaland was only good in the 90s, creating a strong partnership with Missy Elliott and Aaliyah. But his chemistry working with other male artists just doesn't seem right. Timbaland tries hard to break Justin into the urban lifestyles in the horrible "Chop Me Up" and the down-right bad "Damn Girl." The appropriately titled "(Another Song) All Over Again" doesn't leave you with a filling, satisfied feeling.
FutureSex gives off more of an empty, club feel - of wanting to leave early so you can catch up on your more exciting bedroom lounging.
Great review, also.

Well his chemistry working With Nelly has been pretty good, and what he has done so far with Keri Hilson has been quite promising. I'm still waiting for her damn album to come out.

You know, this album isnt all that bad. I always had my doubts (lets face it: Justin aint all that), but this really took me by surprise. Id give it a 3. But he has the musical depth of a jacuzzi.

Beats are some of the best I've heard from Timbaland. But thats about it. I can't stand listening to this guy anymore.

At first I really enjoyed the album, but then he was wayyyy overplayed on every possible media scheme. I still listen to My Love once in a while, but thats when I'm either drunk, high or pissed off at the world. :D

I swear, nobody's ever stressed as much over whether to put a comma inside or outside the quotation marks as much as I do. I went through the whole thing putting them inside only to change my mind and go outside again :upset:
1. When the quote is a complete sentence, the close quote mark goes outside the final punctuation. "I am extremely hungry."
2. When the quote is partial, the close quote mark goes inside the final punctuation. "He said he was 'extremely hungry'."
