It was the first KsE I heard and a gateway into heavy music for me in the mid 00s, and as I got further into the back catalogue and heavier music in general I kinda wrote this off as good but too poppy and saccharine to satisfy my need for crushing slams and blastbeats.
But joke’s on me because now I’m a huge Katy Perry stan and well written, slickly produced pop metal with an emphasis on catchy vocals sorta hits right in the sweet spot between my love for bouncy girly music and my love for riffs.
