love this album
good review, cant wait for future releases from these guys, saw them at summer slaughter tour and they killed it, even through some technical diffulties, they did a really good job
and yeah, there's four different drummers that laid down tracks for this album, i found that to be a tad but ridiculous
but still amazing album

There's way better tech death out there, these guys really seem to be having an identity crisis with this record. It's still great though, the whole album is oozing with great ideas marred by some that just don't work.
If they get it together to a greater extent on their next record I have a feeling it'll be friggin awesome.

Yep, these guys definitely have a lot of potential and seem like they're moving in the right direction

Yeah dude, these guys are one of America's most promising young bands.
|

I look foreward to it.

I think the only thing that really prevents me from 5ing this is the annoying snare sound.

I love every song on this album so much, but I don't think I could ever give it a 5.
|
| |
I think that I probably give out 5's much more than you do. which is probably bad but whatever.

Yeah an album REALLY has to get to me for me to give it a 5. This album is one of my recent favorites and it's got tremendous replay value, but there's just that little something missing. I can't quite tell you what it is though.

I still think All Shall Perish is better than these guys, but I guess they are 2nd for the Death/Metalcore sub genre. This cd is still awkward to me, like the songs don't mash well together.

Musically they're all amazing. I'm hoping their sophomore album will combine the talent with improved songwriting.

All Shall Perish is pretty sweet, especially their latest album. But The Faceless are just more interesting and stick out alot more than ASP. The Price of Existence was a damn good album, but got a little too repetitive for me at times. Each song on Akeldama sticks out for me and doesn't sound like the one before it.

I don't think this could be classified as "deathcore"

This is death metal with progressive elements. There aren't a great deal of breakdowns to be honest, more solos than anything.
Every song here slays so hard. An Autopsy is the perfect opener and The Ghost of a Stranger the perfect climax.
The title track is kind of like an instrumental done by Dream Theater if they were less cheesy and self indulgent. It's pretty sweet.

I was referring more towards Pebster and his death/metalcore comment. This is definitely death metal.

This is fucking intense...they sound like a fusion of Necrophagist and BTBAM to me.
An Autopsy, Leica, Akeldama, and Ghost of a Stranger are the best songs here.
