blessthefall is great band and its probably a good thing that Craig left because he really wasn't on par with the rest of the members as far as their views go. Plus, their new singer Beau isn't half bad at screamin' it up.
However, does anyone notice the low-volume sound quality on this record?

I dont think Beau actually screams, from what I have gathered and seen is that its all the bass player, Jarrod. But I can see what you mean with the Craig factor.
Yes the production is horrible.

A passable attempt at something in-between post-hardcore and an accessible form of metalcore, although it too often struggles to balance the characteristics of the 2 genres. With Jared Warth's harsh screams dominating practically every track, many sound too similar to each other, while the variety shown on slower cut 'With Eyes Wide Shut' does not work. There are some decent melodies here & there (notably on highlights 'Could Tell A Love' & 'Wait For Tomorrow' where they get the mix right), but the below-average production does not bring them to the fore & nothing is significantly memorable. It should also be noted that 5 of these 11 tracks had previously been heard on the quintet's self-titled EP.

One of my favorite albulms. Although some people say that a lot of the songs are fillers. I think they are completly wrong. "Times like these" are liked a lot and is a popular song. Also the acoustic rise up song is a nice surprise and sounds very nice.

I quite enjoy this album, some good songs. Higinia is a personal favourite, mostly because of the first scream in the song "You're what makes me." When me and my friends first heard it, we though it said "Nar-whal-base-ment." and it's sort of become a meme with us :-) Still a good band however.
