I read an interview with Trent once in which he stated that while he was writing The Fragile he was
suffering with an alternative form of writer's block that caused him to produce too much instead of
nothing at all. That really made sense to me, because I feel like The Fragile has an unforgivable
amount of pointless and directionless filler. Tons of incomplete thoughts and Ideas that were just
thrown onto the album and didn't really go anywhere. It just feels so scatter-brained, unorganized,
aimless, and messy, that to me it's more of a portrait of unregulated artistry than enjoyable music.
It's better than With Teeth though, I'll give it that.
