I haven't listened to this, or anything from Dimmu, in a really long time. I just started listening to this and I still love it. I might just listen to their entire discography in the next couple of days.

This and "Enthrone Darkness..." are the only really good albums by Dimmu Borgir, and even Enthrone drags towards the end.

You don't like the original Stormblast?

I don't like the production on it. I like the re-recorded version though.

Yeah the re-recorded one is good too, but I think the original is a little better.

I'm a wuss when it comes to bad productions. That's probably why I haven't got into black metal as much as I'd like to.

It takes a while to get used to. I hated bad production in black metal when I was first getting into it. I couldn't even listen to Nattens Madrigal when I first got it, but now its my favorite black metal album of all time.

"In the Nightside Eclipse" is about as far down the production scale I can go. "Nattens..." is unlistenable for me.

it doesn't bother me at all, darkthrone albums are the ones that bother me

I can definitely understand that. The only thing I've heard with worse production than Nattens Madrigal is Forest Poetry by Ildjarn, which is horrible by the way. And I just realized that Blood Hunger Doctrine is my favorite song on this album. That shit is just freaky.

the new dvd was pretty cool too, but I dont see myself getting any future records if they continue down their current path
