Thought the album was pretty good. Once Rendering is a great, great song. I don't get why you guys talk about Pneuma so much when in reality it is Foreword that is MovMou's best work, by far (in my opinion of course). Either way, Foreword to me is a 5.0 and this is a 3.0

its aight. definitely weaker than pneuma and foreword, although this almost sounds like a completely different band. it's kinda hard to directly compare it to the other 2, but as far as enjoyment is concerned, i don't see myself going back to this as frequently as the other 2.

I'm going a 3 on this, most likely... or a 2.5. This is massively disappointing. I've been listening to it a little more, hoping that I'd grow into it. I just can't get through it, it's too boring for me, and there've been too many good releases this year to bother listening to a mediocre album. Oh well, maybe next time Moving Mountains.

Sweet, wasn't necessarily expecting a feature, I hope the review does this justice (in terms of describing its mediocrity)

If I didn't like the first single they released of off this, then do you think it's still worth
checking out? Because I'm still having trouble accepting that the band who wrote Foreword could
be so goddamn generic.

just listen to another track and make up the decision yourself, you may love all the others for all you know

Listening to the stream right now, I'm enjoying it actually. Also Noctus, out of curiosity, why don't you like Pneuma or Foreword?

i've never heard foreword, don't plan to anytime soon. i could go on forever about Pnuema but you can find my explanation for that on the review itself on the more recent pages. :]

I totally agree on the summary. This is something like a backwards fall into post-hardcore tendencies, where their strengths sit in the back seat. It's so odd to see this. The post-rock elements within Waves are essentially unmemorable or non-existant.

This is upsetting because I REALLY wanted to like this album. What happened?
