They couldn't have ended that song any other way, it just wouldn't have worked

Yeah it hits the perfect balance between the blistering flurry of punk noise on WL/WH and the sweet dreamy indie-pop of the s/t

A difficult album ,but simultaneously a very rewarding and interesting one... Blends some of the Velvet Underground's noisier elements, with occasional pop sensibility. Title track and Sister Ray are perhaps my favorites, although all the songs pack an extremely raw, distorted punch which would be very controversial if released today, let alone in the 1960s. Will keep on listening to this, and perhaps bump this up to a 4.5 or 5 if it grows on me enough.

I feel like Joy Division's cover of Sister Ray should've been the greatest thing ever but it isn't

JD's never written a bad song themselves, but that cover def isn't one of their better moments
