yeah heroin still gives me chills to this day. i remember the week lou passed away, we were doing day of the dead stuff in spanish and i brought him up. i mentioned my fav song from vu was heroin and people laughed lol

A difficult album ,but simultaneously a very rewarding and interesting one... Blends some of the Velvet Underground's noisier elements, with occasional pop sensibility. Title track and Sister Ray are perhaps my favorites, although all the songs pack an extremely raw, distorted punch which would be very controversial if released today, let alone in the 1960s. Will keep on listening to this, and perhaps bump this up to a 4.5 or 5 if it grows on me enough.
