This is sooooooo good.

i dont think this album is perfect but there are parts that are just absurdly good. like the "i should be on trial for everything i havent done" line from "drunk mouth" or the "time creeps into my dreams" on "puppeteer". the best ones are mostly chris parts but brendan has plenty of great moments too.

For like the half dozen or so people left on this site who still give a shit about this band, Brendan is doing a podcast called "Road to the Skeleton Coast" where he's interviewed about the history of the band, with each episode focusing on one of their albums. The 2 episodes so far have covered this album and Ghost Stories. It's good shit. New album coming out this summer, too.

I love that the host is an obsessive TLA fanboy.

@dim lol there's no fucking way they're referring to any other band, as much as I'd like to delude myself into thinking D4 is ever going to release another album.

A decade plus after getting into this album it still delivers every time I go back to it. No bad songs and most of them are great. I like Oh Calcutta a lot but this is their best imo.

if i were only allowed to listen to one song for the rest of my life, i might have to go with Wishful Puppeteer
