"either way yes i am completely bored of the hardcore and punk styles today. every time i check out one of these bands that many on sputnik seem to love they sound completely generic. no originality and nothing that separates them from the hordes of others. its just dull to me."
Man that would be so respectable if you didn't 4 Franz Ferdinand and shit on the Ramones at the same time.

He should shit on both.

Okay an actual opinion now... I checked Deceit first (thinking it’d be more accessible) and this one ended up being significantly more interesting. A few of these cuts are insane, Horizontal and 24 Track Loop are especially ridiculous.

I do think this is the more 'interesting' release of the two, or at least more intriguing, but ultimately still prefer Deceit for its perfect blend of experimentation and grooviness. This is still utterly fantastic, though and I'm probably underselling it with only a 4.0, honestly.
Demon: If you thought 'Horizontal Hold' was awesome on this, check out the recording of it they released on the John Peel Sessions. It's one of the greatest tracks in their entire discography imo.

Yeah it might eventually groove harder, just needs some time. This was more impactful as an initial listening experience, maybe shock value idk. Thanks for the tip.

I’ve reconsidered my previous stance and I’m a changed man...
Now I’m absolutely convinced this is better than Deceit, no reservations at all. Horizontal Hold, Not Waving, 24 Track Loop, The Fall of Saigon are all perfect, that’s approaching half the album considering there’s an intro/outro.
