Thats bullshit considering that this is 2013 and not 2000

Parallels has a point. Even the worst songs on FII have a lot more likability than most of the weaker songs from their post-6 Degrees albums.

This is better than I was expecting after the incredibly bland Dramatic Turd of Events.

"Burning my soul's lyrical genius"

... I don't even know how to respond to that.

But to be fair Bridges in the Sky's lyrics aren't much better. I try not to judge DT by their lyrics, it's not exactly a strength of theirs.

ugh, Burning My Soul.

If FII didn't have You Not Me, Burning My Soul and Take Away my Pain, it would be so much stronger. Just remove these and record a proper version of Raise the Knife to put on instead, and it would be stronger than Systematic, Oct, and Black Clouds.

The rest of the post 6 degrees albums have all been pretty solid on the whole IMO.

I would be happy for them to take an extra year for the following album to conjure up some better lyrics and metaphors. Something a bit more subtle and clever.

Remember Awake? The lyrics on that were outstanding...

"Remember Awake? The lyrics on that were outstanding..."

That was because of Kevin Moore

Falling into Infinity is already stronger than those albums you listed, in fact it's stronger than every post-Six Degress DT album.

An abum with a few weak tracks >> an album dominated by soulless wank and/or consistently bland songwriting (aka every DT album after Six Degrees).

dude nah, i'd say the 2nd disc is kinda wanky at times and its all over the place but first disc is really solid songwriting, jam some blind faith or misunderstood
