i think xxx does have the more unique production, like the samples were really just neat and well utilized, but c'mon this shit just has really great atmosphere for hype (break it, smokin' drinkin') and then really great atmosphere for introspection (lonely, clean up).

This does have a few forgettable tracks, but I think that has more to do with the track listing than anything else. I can't help but forget about Break It when it's placed in the position it is

I don't care that they're forgettable, that's the thing
I enjoy them, just don't actively think of them until they come on. Still love all the times here, just some will naturally stick in your mind out of 19 songs while others won't

it seems like most of the people who are saying XXX is better than this are people that have just now rushed to hear both albums (and share their newly formed opinions). I feel like both albums take a while to get to know.
